William Widner, III

Mr. William Earl Widner, III, age 23, of Smiths Grove, KY, passed away Sunday, May 21, 2023, at The Medical Center of Bowling Green. Funeral services are scheduled to be conducted at Cone Funeral Home on Monday, May 29, 2023, at 1:30 PM with burial to follow in Wingfield Cemetery. Visitation with the family will begin at 11:00 AM and continue until time of service at 1:30 PM. William was born November 4, 1999, in Bowling Green, KY to his parents, William Earl Widner, Jr. , and Jennifer Widner who survives and resides in Smiths Grove, KY. He is preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, William Earl Widner, Sr. , and his maternal grandmother, Joyce Marklin. Besides his parents, he is also survived by his fiancé, Brittany Lloyd and their son, William Earl Widner, IV both of Smiths Grove, KY; two sisters, Heather Widner (Daniel Todd) of Smiths Grove, KY, Ashley Gregory (Joey) of Wingfield, KY; paternal grandmother, Lori Borden of Bowling Green, KY, maternal grandfather, David L/ Marklin of Lester, AL; uncles, David A. Marklin, Timothy Widner, Dennis Green; nieces, Rebecca Todd, Katherine Gregory; nephews, Joey Gregory, Gavin Gregory, Ethan Todd; Cousins, Tonya Lagana, Dillon Lagana, Dakota Lagana, Casey Marklin; close friends, Jeremy Cherry and son O’Neal, James Thomas, and Tyler Cherry. William was a go getter and liked to stay busy. He loved the outdoors, working on his Chevy trucks and motorcycles. He loved playing with his son and hanging out with his best friends and family. He had such a big heart and a bubbly contagious personality. He would help anyone with anything and even give the shirt off his back.
