William Alexander Reid Wilson passed away peacefully in his sleep on November 12, 2024, two days after celebrating his 86th birthday. William was born on November 10, 1938 in Forres, Scotland. William emigrated to the United States with his family when he was 10 years old. His mother (Jesse), Father (Robert) and two brothers (Robert and Alexander) settled in the Detroit, Michigan area where his parents became employed by General Motors. William attended Wayne Memorial High School, Wayne, Michigan and upon graduation attended Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan. Willam graduated from Wayne State University with a degree in chemistry. After graduation, William began his career in the pharmaceutical industry. William managed pharmaceutical processing plants and advanced through the industry through his hard work and loyalty. William became the Vice President of Sales of Davy McKee/Trafalgar House in Chicago, Illinois where he was charged with selling engineering services for the construction of pharmaceutical plants. William travelled the world for Davy McKee/Trafalgar House, but his heart was always in Scotland, his home. Aside from his work, William loved home improvement projects and all animals. Throughout the years William had many beloved pets. One of William’s favorite places to visit was the zoo.
William is survived by his wife, Jane of Bowling Green, Kentucky; three children, Kendra Ann of Rio Rancho, New Mexico, Laura Diane (Mark) of Lindenhurst, Illinois and William Jesse (Sally) of Elgin, Illinois; his six grandchildren, his brother, Alexander (Lori); nieces and nephews, stepchildren and step-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers the family is asking that donations are made to your local animal shelter as William would have taken all the pets home with him if he could every time he visited his local shelter.
