Willard Summers

Willard Dorris Summers, 77 of Bowling Green, Ky. died September 24, 2022 at the Medical Center. The Franklin, Ky. native was the son of the late Leslie Summers and Hassie Gracie Kitchens Summers and was born on November 15, 1944. Mr. Summers was a veteran of both the United States Army and Navy. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Summers; his children: Joey Smith, Mike Smith and Charlene Anderson as well as a brother and a sister. Mr. Summers is survived by his children: Randy Smith, Pat Smith and Sherill Spradlin; his grandchildren: Cindy Smith, Joey Smith, Timmy Smith, Chris Anderson, Brittany Smith, Hillary Smith and Whitney Smith; 17 great grandchildren; Several nieces, nephews as well as great nieces and nephews; a brother, Raymond Summers and two sisters, Faye Vorick and Brenda Gum as well as three step siblings Janet North, Nancy Johnson and Chuck Clayburn. Also surviving is his faithful dog, Izzy. Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 30, 2022 at 3 pm in the chapel of Cone Funeral Home (1510 Campbell Lane) with burial to follow in Plano Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be Friday from 12 pm until time of services. The family has entrusted Cone Funeral Home (1510 Campbell Lane) with arrangements.
