Walter Youree Bibbs, Jr. March 5, 1957 – January 21, 2025 – Age 67

Walter Youree Bibbs, Jr. of Bowling Green, KY, was called home on January 21, 2025, at the age of 67. He was born on March 5, 1957, to the late Walter Y. Bibbs, Sr. and Hattie Mae Bibbs. A proud graduate of Warren Central High School, Walter’s love for sports shone brightly, especially during his time playing basketball there. He continued his education at Freed Hardeman College before serving ten years in the United States Army.

Walter went on to have a fulfilling career, retiring from Kobe Aluminum (KAAP). Throughout his life, Walter was known for his ability to make people laugh and his love for music. He found joy in spending time with family and friends, and his presence was always a source of warmth and light. Whether grilling, watching football (his favorite team being the Las Vegas Raiders), or simply enjoying the company of loved ones, Walter’s generous spirit and sense of humor made him cherished by all who knew him.

A protector at heart, Walter always looked out for those he loved. He leaves behind his beloved daughters, Natasha (Chad) Spencer, Tanja Bibbs, Olivia (Lenny) Moore, and Mia Bibbs. His legacy continues through his siblings, Angela Bundy, Sandra (Robert) Ellis, Timothy (Angela) Bibbs, and Denise Jacobs, as well as several grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

He shared a loving partnership with his significant other of over 20 years, Renee Gilbert, and embraced her children. His lifelong connection with his childhood best friend and other close friends brought him immense joy and a strong sense of camaraderie.

Walter’s love and laughter will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. His memory will be cherished forever.
