Thomas Rhoades

Thomas Jed (T. J. ) Rhoades Age 54 of Elizabethtown, KY died Sunday August 21, 2016 at the Hospice House of Southern Kentucky. T. J. was born August 3, 1962 in Greenville, Kentucky a son of J. E. Rhoades and Ruth Alice Tingle. He was a graduate of Western Kentucky University. T. J. proudly served our country with the United States Air Force. T. J. was a State Farm Agent in Elizabethtown for 19 years. T. J. is survived by a daughter: Emily (Travis) Thomas of Elizabethtown, Kentucky, and one son: Evan Rhoades of Elizabethtown, Kentucky, and a grandson: Lincoln Thomas of Elizabethtown, Kentucky. He is also survived by his father J. E. Rhoades of Central City, Kentucky, a brother: Tony (Shelly) Rhoades of Bowling Green, Kentucky, a sister: Terri (Kevin) Rice of Central City, Kentucky along with other relatives and friends. T. J. was preceded in death by his mother: Ruth Rhoades in 2014. A Mass celebrating Thomas' life will be held at St. James Catholic Church (307 West Dixie Avenue Elizabethtown, KY 42701 at 2:00 PM Eastern Time on Wednesday August 31, 2016. There will be no visitation time prior to service. A lunch gathering will be held at St. James Catholic Church immediately following the Mass. In Lieu of flowers, the Family asks that donations be directed to the Hospice House of Southern Kentucky (5872 Scottsville Rd, Bowling Green, KY 42104 or to State Theater (209 W Dixie Avenue Elizabethtown, KY 42701).
