Thomas Hayes

Thomas Eugene Hayes, born on February 22, 1936, in Bowling Green, passed away peacefully at Signature Health Care on December 26, 2024. He was a dedicated painter, having spent over three decades honing his craft and contributing to the beauty of his community through his work.

Throughout his life, Thomas found joy in his artistic pursuits and was also a man of faith, regularly attending North Church of God in Bowling Green. His interests extended beyond painting; he had a deep love for reading history and took delight in collecting odd items, which reflected his curious nature and appreciation for the unique.

Thomas's family was an essential part of his life. He is survived by his loving daughter, Terri Lynn Hays, as well as his brothers, Garnett L. Hays (Patricia), David W. Hays, and Jim Hays (Sharon). He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Connie Daniels Hays, whom he married on April 24, 1987. Their 22 years together were marked by companionship and shared dreams.

He was born to the late William T. Hays and Mary E. Hays, and he also cherished the memories of his grandparents, Jacob McKinley Hays, Lula Hays, Alvis Marion Gammons, and Mary Bell Gammons, all of whom have passed on.

Thomas Eugene Hayes will be remembered fondly for his artistic talents, his unwavering faith, and the love he showed to those around him. His legacy will continue through the hearts of his family and friends who were fortunate to know him.
