Susan Ashley Massey

Ms. Susan Ioma Ashley Massey, age 60 of Bowling Green, KY, passed away Saturday, January 27, 2024, at The Medical Center of Bowling Green.

The family has entrusted Cone Funeral Home with arrangements. 

Susan’s wishes were to be cremated. There are currently no services scheduled.  

Susan was born February 23, 1963, in Bowling Green, KY to the late Richard C. Ashley and the late Mary Elizabeth Hardin. She is also preceded in death by a brother, Ricky C. Ashley; sister, Angela B. Dugger, and nephew William “Billy” Weaver.

She is survived by 3 sons, Richard West, Travis Steenbergen, and Michael Steenbergen all of Bowling Green, KY; sister, Wanda Ashley of Rockfield, KY; 3 nephews, Dennis Nealy of Columbia, TN, Timothy Nealy of Anderson, IN, and Jeremy Weaver of Rockfield, KY.

Susan was of Baptist faith and a homemaker. She loved to cook and made big meals for her family and neighbors. Susan made it a priority to feed the elderly in and around her neighborhood and those who were in need and hungry. Susan enjoyed planting flowers and playing Family Farm on Facebook. She was a huge animal lover, especially to her fur babies Little Bit, Lucky and Mr. Bob. Susan had a compassionate heart; she was trustworthy and someone you could count on. She loved her children and her family dearly.
