Roger was married to Connie White Phipps in September 1970, and their union was a source of joy and strength throughout his life. Roger found immense joy in his role as a grandfather to three cherished grandchildren: Katarina Popovic, Aleks Popovic, and Emma Phipps. He is survived by his daughter, Stephanie Phipps of Bowling Green, and his son, Brian Phipps (Laura) of Bowling Green, alongside his beloved grandchildren.

Roger was preceded in death by his father, Jesse Manuel Phipps, his mother, Velma Beers Phipps, and his beloved wife, Connie.
