Robert Thomas Holzapfel

Mr. Robert Thomas Holzapfel, age 85 of Bowling Green, KY, passed away Thursday, March 7, 2024, at Hospice of Southern Kentucky. 

The family has entrusted Cone Funeral Home with arrangements. 

A memorial service is scheduled to be conducted on Tuesday, March 12, 2024, at 12:00 noon at Cone Funeral Home with military honors. Visitation with the family will begin at 10:00am until the time of service at 12:00 noon. 

Robert was born October 27, 1938, in Chicago, IL to the late Louis Holzapfel and the late Gladys Julian Holzapfel. He is also preceded in death by his sister, Shirley Martin. 

He is survived by his wife Shirley Holzapfel of 54 years; daughter Anne Armstrong; granddaughter, Christi Armstrong; sister, Betty Smith, and several nieces and nephews.

Robert was a US Army Veteran. He was a hand radio operator, a member of HAM Radio Club and flew small planes. He was a craftsman at heart and loved working with his hands. Robert owned and operated Deluxe Dry Cleaners for many years before retiring. He loved fishing and was an avid motorcycle rider.
