Richard Joe Yoakem

Richard Joe Yoakem, a beloved husband, brother, and friend, passed away on December 17, 2024, at the Medical Center, after facing multiple health issues, including respiratory complications. He was born on November 26, 1955, in Marion County, Ohio.

Throughout his life, Richard exemplified a deep sense of duty and service, having proudly served in the Army. His military was a reflection of his character—dedicated, resilient, and honorable.

Richard is remembered fondly by his surviving family. He leaves behind his devoted spouse, David Yoakem. He is also survived by his siblings: Michael (Joan), Judy Woods, Ronnie Yoakem (Gena), John Yoakem (Susan), Margaret Tallant (Rod), and Roy Yoakem. Each of them will carry cherished memories and a profound sense of loss as they remember Richard's kindness and warm spirit.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Leo and Lucille Yoakem, as well as his brothers and sisters, including Leo Thomas Yoakem (Nancy), Daniel Lee Yoakem (Debby), Charles Alvin Yoakem, and Steven Dale Yoakem (Shannon). Their absence forms a significant part of Richard's story, and he joins them now in eternal rest.
