Paul Douglas Higginbotham, 73, passed away on Monday, July 1, 2019 at the VA Hospital in Nashville. He was the husband of Mary Ann Higginbotham. They shared 43 years of marriage. Born in Edmonson County, he was the son of the late Leslie and Margoline Higginbotham. He graduated from Western Kentucky and retired from Southern School Supply. He proudly served in the US Army during the Vietnam war. He enjoyed playing golf and could tell many a story about his visit to Augusta National and an avid UK fan. He is survived by his spouse, Mary Ann Higginbotham, one daughter, Mindy Ann Taul (Chris), two grandchildren, Brittany Ryherd and Cameron Oliphant and one great granddaughter, Avery Ann Ryherd. Mr. Higginbotham is also survived by two brothers: David ""Butch"" Higginbotham and Phil Higginbotham (Shirley), three sisters: Juanita Pedigo, Sherry Johnson and Delora Craine. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Jim Higginbotham. The memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 6, 2019 at 4 pm in the chapel of Cone Funeral Home (1510 Campbell Lane) with visitation to be held from 2 pm - 4 pm. The family would like to send a special Thank You to Greg Houchens for the additional 20 years. Being an organ donor can save and/or extend a life.
