Norman Edward Potter, 100, Rockfield, KY, made his transition on Wednesday, October 29, 2014 at Greenwood Nursing Home. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ida. This union produced five children, Jimmy (Agnes), Dayton, Ohio; Terry (Yvonne), Rockfield, KY; Helen Reed (Howard), Little Rock, AR; Elaine Lawrence (Donald - Deceased), Indianapolis, IN, and Leonard (Deceased), Rockfield, KY. His survivors include his children, sisters, Olivia Funderburk, Sue Davidson, Rockfield, KY; Rachel Butts, Doris Whitlow, Bowling Green, KY; Bertha Coleman, Lexington, KY; Faye Ellis, Rochester, NY; and brothers, Ronald Potter, Raymond Potter, Bowling Green, KY; Jyles Potter, Woodburn, KY, 12 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren great, 2 great-great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He was a dedicated member of Rockfield Baptist Church. The visitation will be held on Sunday, November 2nd from 3 - 6p. m. at Cone Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 3rd at State Street Baptist Church at 11a. m. with internment at Rockfield Baptist Church cemetery. Norman Potter will lie-in-state from 9-11a. m.
