Morris Basham

Mr. Morris Brett Basham, age 72, of Bowling Green, KY, passed away Monday, December 25, 2023, at his residence.

The family has entrusted Cone Funeral Home with arrangements.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, January 5, 2023, at 11:00am at Fairview Cemetery.

Morris was born December 20, 1951, in Bowling Green, KY to the late Raymond Morris Basham and the late Mary Katherine “Carrie” Witt Basham. He is also preceded in death by his brother Gary Raymond Basham.

He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Juanita Rigsby Basham; daughter, Jennifer Lovelady (Gordon) of Oak Grove, KY; son, Chris Basham (Allison) of Bowling Green, KY; grandchildren, Kennedy Parker, Gracie Lovelady and Eli Lovelady; sisters, Linda Basham (Rebbie Benoit) of Titusville, FL and Joan Peay of Bowling Green, KY.

Morris was a member of White Stone Quarry Baptist Church. He loved watching drag races, going to car shows and riding his Harley Motorcycles. He had a big passion for his bikes and anything with a motor in it. His idol was “Evel Knievel” and loved talking about him. Most importantly, he loved his family, and his grandchildren were his world.

The family wishes to wholeheartedly thank Hospice of Southern Kentucky for their compassionate care and service.

The family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of donation be made to Hospice of Southern Kentucky in memory of Morris. Donations may be dropped off at the funeral home.
