Mike McKeown

Joseph Michael “Mike” McKeown, 46, of Bowling Green, KY died at home Tuesday, January 12, 2021. The Bowling Green native was born on September 9, 1974 to Arthur McKinley and Loretta Skaggs Kitchens. Mike worked hard running his own painting business to support his beloved wife, Princess, and their four children. A passionate UK fan Mike loved everything blue. Above all he loved his family, and especially loved being Papa to his grandchildren. Mike is survived by his wife, Princess Lewis McKeown; their four children, Damien McKeown, Alex McKeown, Mercedes Kitchens, and Bradley Kitchens; three grandchildren, Evie Alford, Ellie McKeown, and Elijah McKeown. Grandson number four, a boy to be named Finn Kitchens, is due to arrive in April. Other survivors include two sisters; Elizabeth Rowe and Penny Wells; three brothers, Billy Kitchens, Clayton Kitchens, and Jason Kitchens; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Mike was preceded in death by his father, Arthur, and a brother, Billy Dwight McKeown. The family has entrusted Cone Funeral Home (1510 Campbell Lane) with arrangements. Visitation for Mike McKeown will be held at Cone Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 19, 2021 from 10 am – 1 pm.
