Maxey Harris Bryson, 80 years old, of Rockfield, KY, passed away on February 17, 2024, at the Medical Center in Bowling Green, KY.
Maxey was born on January 17, 1944, to the late Bruce and Mary Jane Helton Bryson of Rockfield. He was a graduate of Auburn High School, Class of 1962. He worked for Cutler Hammer and was a dairy and tobacco farmer. He retired after being a bus driver 20 years for Warren County Schools. He currently worked in transportation for Western Kentucky University. Maxey was an avid sports fan. He played baseball and basketball at Auburn High School. Also, he coached his daughters in softball. He loved watching University of Kentucky basketball.
Maxey leaves behind his loving wife, of 53 years, Darlene Simpson Bryson. Also, three children; Dana Gloyd (Sonny) Adairville, KY; Brandie Bryson Phillips of Auburn, KY and Corey Bryson of Rockfield, KY; Grandchildren; Heather Hightower of Auburn, KY, Heath Hightower (Hope) of Port Orchard, Washington, Carrie Gloyd of Adairville, KY and Hadley Phillips of Auburn, KY; great-grandchild, Kyler Ray Hightower; two sisters, Therese Moore of Auburn, KY and Linda Coe (Randall), Mt. Juliet, Tennessee; one brother; Morris Bryson (Ressa). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation for Mr. Bryson will be Thursday, February 22, 2024, from 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM at Cone Funeral Home, with the service at 1:00 PM.
The family has chosen cremation.
