Mary Bingham

Mary Jane Bingham, 73, of Bowling Green, KY, formerly of Ghent, NY, was born January 5, 1947 in Craryville, NY, and died December 28, 2020 in Bowling Green, KY at Bowling Green Nursing and Rehab Center. Mrs. Bingham is survived by her husband, Carl Bingham; step-daughters, Sharon (Bingham) Kendrew of Nashville, TN, and Brenda (Bingham) Mazzone, and her husband Robert, of Sarasota, Florida; her grandchildren, Gabrielle Elkhouri, Hannah Kendrew, Cameron Kendrew, Brittany Locke, Erika Locke, and Alexandra Locke of TN, NH, and MA; her nephews and nieces, Priscilla and Ken Krakour, Rosemary and Bruce Hallenback, Ellen and Rich Vinikoff, Amy and Peter O’Donnell, Jim and Elaine Dykeman, Robert and Ellen Dykeman, Bonnie Dykeman, and Paul and Pauline Dykeman, all of NY; along with 16 great-nieces and nephews and 8 great-great nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, Peter and Sarah Mortfolio; and two brothers, Jim Dykeman, and Robert Dykeman. Mary Jane was a career United States Postal Service worker, serving as a carrier and clerk in Craryville and Philmont NY. In her younger days she enjoyed cars, especially Trans Ams, Firebirds, and Jeeps, and was on a number of bowling leagues. She also enjoyed time spent on snowmobiles and motorcycles with Carl, her husband of 39 years. She had a great fondness for the several cats and dogs that blessed their lives during those 39 years together. After retirement Mary Jane enjoyed seeing the country with Carl and spent as much time as possible on the road. She and Carl relocated to Bowling Green KY in 2019 where she spent the last year of her life well cared for at the Bowling Green Nursing and Rehab Center. The family has entrusted Cone Funeral Home (1510 Campbell Lane) with arrangements. You may offer your condolences on the Tribute Wall.
