Maria “Mary” King, 72, of Bowling Green, KY, entered this life on July 14, 1949, to the late Robert Ramirez Diaz and Manuela Castillo Diaz, in Brighton, CO, and departed on November 8, 2021, from Signature Health Care Nursing Home, in Bowling Green, KY. Besides her parents, Mary was preceded in death by a brother, Roberto Diaz, Jr. of Texas, and one son, Christopher King, of Biloxi, MS. Mary is survived by her daughter, Rebecca Broderick (Michael), and her son, Scott Lee Hodges (Farrah); four grandchildren, Cavan and Brody Broderick, and Sabrina and Maggie Hodges; and four sisters, Margarita Nunez (Joe), Rebecca Medina (Robert), Carmen Vessells (Danny), and Rita Diaz (Juan "Dino") all of TX. Mary was all about family and thoroughly loved traveling with her children and grandchildren, especially when it involved going to Texas to visit her sisters and their families. She also liked to read, and was known to enjoy a little bit of shopping as well. The family has trusted Cone Funeral Home with arrangements and chosen cremation.
