Margaret Elaine Bullock Winkenhofer, age 94, peacefully passed away on Oct. 25, 2014. She was born Aug. 21, 1920 in Calumet, Oklahoma, but was a long time resident of Bowling Green, KY. She is preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Willard Edward Winkenhofer, her parents George and Helen Bullock, sister, Mary Nowka, and brothers Charles and Robert Bullock. She was a loving mother to Kurt (Linda Justice) Winkenhofer of Plano TX, Eddie (Darlene Bingham) Winkenhofer of Nashville TN, and Karen (Jerry) Delaney of Florence KY. She was grandmother ""Margy"" to Eric (Julie) Winkenhofer of Austin TX, Brian (Mary) Winkenhofer of Plano TX, Will (Kara) Winkenhofer of Carlsbad CA, Cy Winkenhofer of Austin TX, Hillary Guinn of Nashville TN, Emily (Charlie) Edgington of Lexington KY, and Craig (Elizabeth Greene) Delaney of Savannah GA. She also has 11 beautiful great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was a graduate of Oklahoma A & M and did her Dietician internship at Saint Mary's in Rochester, MN. She was a US Army Air Corp 2nd Lieutenant serving as a Dietician when she met US Army Air Corp 1st. Lieutenant Winkenhofer . They married just a few weeks later. After the war they moved to Bowling Green, KY. She worked at the old Bowling Green City-County Hospital as a Dietician, later she was a longtime volunteer at The Medical Center, a past president of the Bowling Green Garden Club, a member of the Genealogy Society, and a member of The Presbyterian Church. Visitation will be from 4:30 to 6:30 on Friday at the Cone Funeral Home located at 1510 Campbell Lane . A Celebration of Life service will be held at The Presbyterian Church, 10th and State St. , at Noon Saturday visitation at 11:00 a. m. prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to an organization of your choice.
