Lisa Joyce Nicholas, 60, of Glasgow, KY, was born on July 5, 1961, in Hammond, IN, to the late Randy Moss and the late Joyce Lee Butler. She died peacefully at home on June 30, 2022. Lisa is survived by her husband, Leroy Nicholas; her son, Lucas Ledzius; one sister and two brothers, Diane Moss, John Moss, and David Moss; two stepsisters, Belinda Butler, and Karen Butler; along with several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Nicholas was a member of Old Zion United Methodist Church of Glasgow. She was a leader in and on the founding committee which started ARC of Barren County, which was dedicated to helping physically handicapped and mentally challenged individuals. She advocated programs for people like her son Lucas and was passionate in this work to give him, and others like him, better opportunities to enjoy life. Lisa was very sociable and always tried to see the good in people that others tended to overlook. She also loved her flowers, hummingbirds, and animals. Lisa was very active and owned her own cleaning business in Indiana before semi-retiring in 1995 to move to Kentucky, where she continued cleaning houses between her work caring for Lucas and organizing special needs programs. She even made time to travel and attend auctions until her health deteriorated and kept her homebound. Her husband Leroy entrusted her care to Cone Funeral Home (1510 Campbell Ln) and chose cremation.
