Ms. Lillie Mae Elzer, age 87, of Bowling Green, KY, passed away Wednesday, December 15, 2021 at the Medical Center at Bowling Green, KY. She was born on March 22, 1934 in Washington County, KY to the late Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Keeling. She was also preceded in death by 2 husbands, Francis Julian Spalding and David Elzer; a son, James Thomas Shelton and a daughter, Shelia Gail Priddy. Mae or Granny Mae as people knew her was survived by her children, Ronnie Chadwick, Shirley Huber, Linda Carter, Cathy Williams, Barbara Taylor, David Shelton and Danny Shelton; grandchildren, Christopher, Candice, Crystal, Jordan, Summer Hope, Cameron, Calvin, Christy, Michelle, Brandy, Vicki, Timmy, Chris, Samantha and several great grandchildren. Mae was full of life and a definite spit fire. She was never one to back down and loved her family. She enjoyed watching Kentucky Wildcats play basketball. She always had her nails done and her jewelry on. She will always be in everyone's heart and will be loved and missed very much. The family has entrusted Cone Funeral Home (1510 Campbell Lane) with arrangements. Cremation was chosen and there will be no public gathering scheduled at this time.
