Lillie Mae Cook passed away on Dec 11th, 2020 in Bowling Green, Kentucky. Lillie was born in Clarksville, Tennessee on February 29th, 1920. Her parents were Admiral Samson Brown of Clarksville, Tennessee and Hattie Frances Walker-Brown. She was married to the late Eulice D. Cook of Montgomery, Alabama. Lillie had two children, Robert Emmit Hodge Jr. who preceded in death who lived in Bowling Green, Kentucky and stepdaughter, Betty Martin of Frederick, Maryland. She is survived by three grandchildren, Robert (Robbie) T. Hodge and (Denise) of Bowling Green Kentucky, Jeffery (Jeff) K. Hodge and (Gretchen) of Brownsville Kentucky, Holly N. Fisher and (Jonathan) of Bowling Green, Kentucky, and preceded in death by Cheryl (Cheri) L. Wilcox also of Bowling Green. Mrs. Cook is also survived by her daughter in law, Michaeline Hodge. She left behind eight great grandchildren: April N. Martin and (Shawn), Noah Carter, Ariel Lawrence and (Chase), Austin Hodge, Cari Wilcox, Patrick Dale McNeal, Sarah Hodge, Christopher Hodge and Brandi McNeal all of Bowling Green Kentucky and many great greatgrandchildren as well. Lillie Cook had a strong Christian faith. She was a member of Living Hope Baptist Church of Bowling Green and also a member of the “Golden Years Sunday School Class. ” That is where she met Rhonda Counts of Bowling Green, who became like a daughter to her. Before that she resided in Montgomery, Alabama for several decades and was a member of Ridgecrest Church. In Lillie’s hundred years she was a foster mother to over 300 children in Alabama. Lillie loved to cook, crochet, do word puzzles and read the Bible. She loved people and enjoyed sharing her stories and memories with anyone that cared to listen.
