Kimberly Baney

August 11, 1959 — April 3, 2021

On Saturday, April 3, 2021 Kimberly Ann Baney, loving wife and mother of two children and two grandchildren passed away at the age of 61 in Loxahatchee, FL after a long, courageous battle with ovarian cancer. Kim was born on August 11, 1959 in Louisville, Ky. to Wayne and Emily Neville. On May 13, 1978 in Brandenburg, Ky. , she was joined together before God and man in holy matrimony to Timothy Dean Baney. She accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior at the First Baptist Church of Kenmore in Akron, OH. Kim received her business degree from Sullivan College. She used her passion for numbers at many places in her career which began as a bookkeeper at the Women’s Club of Louisville. Kim was such a beautiful, loving person and she dedicated her life to her family. Her laugh was genuine and infectious. Her smile would light up a room. She cherished spending time with family, visiting Disney World and trying new restaurants and foods. You would always find her in the kitchen because she loved to cook and try new recipes, making sure to incorporate lots of onions. She enjoyed entertaining large family gatherings and always made sure there was plenty for everyone. She was an avid scrabble player with an undefeated record. When Kim knew she was right she would always say, “Oh, I am 100 percent” and we would never question her. She was a very giving and detail-oriented person who took great pride in everything she did. She will be missed. Kim was preceded in death by her father, Wayne Neville. She is survived by her husband, Tim; her daughter, Shannon Denise Baney and her son, Timothy Dean Baney, Jr; her mother, Emily Neville; her sisters: Debbie Goff, Pam Lewis and her brother, David Neville. The funeral service will be held at Cone Funeral Home located at 1510 Campbell Lane, Bowling Green, KY 42104 at 1:30 pm on Saturday, April 17, 2021 with a visitation from 10:00 am until time of service.
