Kimberly Newton Epley, affectionately known as Kiki, passed away on June 29, 2024, surrounded by her loving family after a courageous battle with juvenile rheumatoid arthritis. She was born on September 6, 1961 to the late Dorsey and Carolyn Haycraft Newton.


Kiki will forever be remembered for her vibrant spirit and zest for life. She had a unique way dancing with one hand on her hip and the other pointing the beat, a memory that will always bring smiles to those who knew her. Her unwavering support and encouragement uplifted everyone around her, leaving a lasting impact on all she met. Fond memories of her infectious laughter and ever-present smile will be cherished by many.


A devoted member of South Union General Baptist Church, Kiki lived each day to the fullest, embracing hard work and cherishing time with her family. Her love for making others laugh was only matched by her adoration for her children, grandchildren, and animals. Her grandson Hunter was her pillar of strength, while her granddaughters were her firecrackers.


She is survived by her children Tiffany Hinton (Josh), Zackary Epley (Brittany), grandchildren Kayleigh, Hunter, Brooklyn, Cameron Hinton, and Aspyn Epley. Kiki is also survived by, sister Valerie Meredith (Bill), sister Chandra Glenn, brother Greg Newton, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.


In honoring the memory of Kimberly Newton Epley, let us celebrate a life well-lived—one filled with love, laughter, and unwavering dedication to family and faith. May her legacy continue to inspire joy and kindness in all who were fortunate enough to have known her.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Cone Funeral Home. A celebration of life ceremony will be forthcoming, and her closet friends and family will be invited.
