Kenneth ‘Kenny’ D. Gilliam, 68, of Auburn, KY passed suddenly at home on September 16, 2024. He was born in Russellville on December 13th, 1955, and was the son of the late Melvin ‘Kenneth’ Gilliam and the late Jo Ann Taylor Foster of Bowling Green. He graduated from Russellville High School and was a proud veteran of the U.S. Marine Corp. He spent the majority of his working life in sales at car dealerships in Kentucky and Tennessee before moving to the Daytona Beach/Port Orange, FL area to pursue a career in music where he was well-known as a performer and songwriter. There he attended Chapel of Faith Church where he was active in their music ministry.
He returned to Logan County in 2020 to be close to his family.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Mitch Gilliam and stepfather Gordon Foster.
He is survived by his son Matthew Gilliam of Bowling Green, stepmother Sue Gilliam, a brother Keith Gilliam of Old Hickory, TN, brother Mark Gilliam of Bowling Green, several nieces, nephews, cousins and other extended family. He is also survived by friend Jan Poole and fur baby Millie.
A graveside service will be held Saturday October 19th at 2pm at Dripping Springs Cemetery in Olmstead.
