John Enlow

John Powell Enlow, 78 of Bowling Green died June 24, 2019 at his home. The Danville, Ky native was the son of the late James Arthur Enlow and Dixie Powell Enlow. He was a retired veteran of the US Army and proudly served his country in the Vietnam war. He attended Eastwood Baptist Church, was a Ky colonel and member of the VFW. He was preceded in death by his son in law, Eric Bird. Mr. Enlow is survived by his wife of 50 years, Rita Enlow; his children: James Arthur Enlow, Jennifer Bird and Stuart Michael Enlow (Sandy). He was Papaw to Amanda, Cody, Elizabeth, Taylor, Carrie, Jessica, Kaileigh and Natalie and great grandfather to Leanna, Rylee, Aliyah & Cayden. Other survivors include his brothers and sisters, Thomas Enlow (Carolyn), Stuart Enlow (Lisa) and Elizabeth Ann Enlow. Funeral services for John Powell Enlow will be held Thursday, June 27, 2019 at 2 pm in the chapel of Cone Funeral Home (1510 Campbell Lane) with burial in Fairview Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Wednesday, June 26, 2019 from 2 pm until 8 pm and on Thursday from 11 am until time of service. The family has entrusted Cone Funeral Home with arrangements.
