John Coles

John Wilbur Coles was born September 22, 1944. He passed away at Hospice House of Southern KY, in Bowling Green, KY, November 11, 2023, at the age of 79. 

John finished 8th grade at Chandlers Chapel School. He was the groundskeeper at Russellville Country Club for years. Also, he was employed at Rockwell International for 40+ years. He was a faithful member of Plainview General Baptist Church, in his younger years. 

John was preceded in death by his parents Sam and Alvie (Young) Coles. 

John is survived by his only sister, Margaret Marie (Coles) Forbis; one niece, Della Marie (Larry) Fox; one great-niece, Ashley Marie (Steven) Coleman; and one great-nephew, Jacob Hunter (James) Hampton. 

The family will have a graveside service at Maple Grove Cemetery at 11:00 AM, Saturday, November 18, 2023. It will be officiated by Brent Johnson.  A Celebration of Life, for family and friends, will follow at Colonial Inn.
