Jimmy Ray Hearld, a beloved member of the Bowling Green community, passed away on September 2, 2024, at the age of 80. Born on August 10, 1944, in Warren County, Kentucky, Jimmy dedicated 37 years of his life to bartending at the VFW Post 1298, where he became a cherished figure among patrons and fellow employees alike.
He is survived by his loving companion, Jeanette Flora, with whom he shared 34 years of companionship. His legacy continues through his children, Sandra Williams (Mason) and Jimmy Hearld Jr. (Cathy). He also leaves behind his siblings: Alice Parker, Judy Adamson (William), Doris Cosby, Mary Sledge, Sherry Martin (Garrett), Dennis Hearld (Donna), and Timmy Hearld. Jimmy was a proud grandfather to Chris Mooneyhan (Megan) and Josh Mooneyhan, and a great-grandfather to Bendley, Hadley, Memphis, Kimber, and Karolina Mooneyhan.
Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents, Eulas and Ogilva Hearld; his spouse, Tinclee Hearld; a brother, William Hearld; a sister, Fredia Creek; and his daughter, Norma Herald.
Throughout his lifetime, Jimmy enjoyed hobbies such as following U.K. sports, NASCAR, and deep-sea fishing, pursuits that brought him much joy and fulfillment. He will be remembered for his vibrant spirit and the laughter he brought to those around him.
Visitation services will take place at Cone Funeral Home, located at 1510 Campbell Lane in Bowling Green, Kentucky. The first visitation is scheduled for September 5, 2024, from 3:30 PM to 7:00 PM, followed by another visitation on September 6, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM. A funeral service will be held on the same day, September 6, from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM.
Jimmy Ray Hearld will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
