Jenell Pearson Miller broke free from the cruel bonds of dementia in the early morning hours of Monday, May, 9, 2022. The Florida native was born on July 18, 1936, to the late Thomas and Maude Pearson in Mayo, Florida, and at the age of 5 moved to her lifetime home of Hillsborough County, FL. Besides her parents, Jenell was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Edward Earl Miller, Jr. , and her son, Edward “Eddie” Earl Miller, III. She was also preceded in death by seven of her eight brothers and sisters, Doris Bos, Deloris Swymer, Loomis Pearson, Alvin Pearson, Kenneth Pearson, Joann Nichols and Diane Fischer. Jenell is survived by her son Keith Miller; her daughter, Karen (James) McClenny; her grandchildren, Connor (Alexa) McClenny, and Kendall (Nathan) Roper; five great-grandchildren, Phoenix, Celeste and Elora McClenny, and Bryant and Bailey Roper; one brother, Braxton Pearson; three of the best in-laws, Richard Fischer, Gloria Pearson and Avis Pearson; along with numerous nephews and nieces. Jenell loved and was fiercely devoted to her family. She was kind, patient, and gentle. She was a professional secretary for the Hillsborough County School-board for 25 years. But above all Jenell was a Christian for over 60 years and a member of the Brandon church of Christ. There will be no public services scheduled. The family has entrusted Cone Funeral Home (1510 Campbell Lane) with arrangements.
