James Boards

James (J. C. ) Clifford Boards, Sr or Fish as he was better known died January 16, 2019 at the Medical Center. He was an avid fisherman who always wanted to catch ""Jaws"". The Bowling Green native was preceded in death by his parents, Roland and Josephine Boards as well as his brothers: Junior, Joe Henry, and Wesley Boards and a sister, Dolly Boards. He is survived by his children: James (Melinda) Boards of Bowling Green, KY; Sherry (Anthony) Arnold of Drakesboro, Ky; Tony Boards of Russellville, KY; Chris Bruggman of Louisville, KY; Derrick Boards of Bowling Green, KY; Matasha Boards of Louisville, Ky and Coco Boards of Louisville, KY; 25 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Other survivors include his brother, Ernest (Beverly) Boards and his sisters, Mary Clyde Hunter, April Baker, Joyce Lawson, and Lendora (Alfred) Smith, all of Bowling Green, KY. He also leaves behind an aunt, Retha Holcomb and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Funeral services for J. C. ""Fish"" Boards, Sr. will be Friday, January 18, 2019 at 1 pm in the chapel of Cone Funeral Home 1510 Campbell Lane, Bowling Green with burial in Fairview Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11 am until time of service at the funeral home. Cone Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
