Hazel Marksberry

Hazel Marksberry, age 96, died December 24, 2019 at Colonial Manor in Bowling Green, Ky. Hazel was born to Vernon and Ida Mitchell on January 24, 1923 in Peaks Mill, Ky. Hazel married Homer Marksberry on January 26, 1938. Hazel was proceeded in death by her parents Vernon and Ida Mitchell, a brother Revel Mitchell, a sister Lena Taylor, her husband Homer Nelson Marksberry, two sons Carl Spencer Marksberry and Nelson Wayne Marksberry, a daughter Sandra Kay O'Connor, two daughter in laws Elaine Marksberry and Carolyn Marksberry, two grandchildren Crystal Crabb and Garrett Lee Giles and two great grandchildren Katie Walls and Alex Sullivan. She is survived by her daughter Renda Marksberry Slaughter (Gary) of Rockfield, Ky. Hazel was a member of Paint Lick Baptist Church where she attended many years. Brother Denny French, pastor at Paint Lick, will perform her funeral at Garrett-New-McDonald funeral home in Warsaw, Ky. Family Visitation will be Friday 3 pm with visitation following from 4-8 pm and on Saturday 10-1:30. Funeral will be at 1:30 on Saturday. All visitation and the service will be held at Garrett-New-McDonald Funeral Home with burial to follow at Glencoe Cemetery. Local arrangements were entrusted to Cone Funeral Home.
