Harold Phelps

Mr. Harold C. Phelps, age 74, of Morgantown, KY, passed away at the Medical Center at Bowling Green, KY. The family has entrusted Cone Funeral Home, Bowling Green, KY, with arrangements. Funeral services for Mr. Phelps are scheduled to be conducted on Monday, July 31, 2023, at 1:30pm at Cone Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Hickory Hill Cemetery in Scottsville, KY. Visitation with the family will be Monday, July 31, 2023, at 10:00am until the time of service at 1:30pm. Harold was born January 29, 1949, in Woodbury, KY, to the late Ezra Phelps and the late Bertha White. He is also preceded in death by a brother, Ezra Dean Phelps, and a sister, Sandra Coleman. He is survived by his wife of nine years, Barbara Ann Phelps; two sons, Lonnie Ray Phelps (Melissa) of Morgantown, KY, Bobby Allen Simmons of Bowling Green, KY; two daughters, Angela Renee Vanmeter (Jeff) of Brownsville, KY, Jamie Lynn Cordell (Chad) of Bowling Green, KY; step-son, Durham Davidson; sister, Annie Ray (Melvin) of Bowling Green, KY; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. Harold spent most of his career as a heavy equipment operator and later became co-owner of C&P Paint Company. He spent the last nine years in bliss with his soulmate, Barbie. He loved spending time with his family and seeing us smile. He was a fisherman at heart. We will miss him dearly.
