Gerald Cartwright

Gerald Waymon Cartwright, age 77, born on November 9, 1946, of Bowling Green, KY, (formerly of Beechmont, KY) passed on January 16, 2024, peacefully at home surrounded by family. He was preceded in death by his daughter Karen Michelle Cartwright and his parents James William Cartwright and Mary Orange Cartwright.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Wanda Elaine Cartwright, his daughter, Erica (Dewayne) McDonald of Bowling Green, his son, Ryan (Chris) Cartwright of Perry Park, KY and two granddaughters, Makenzie McDonald and Cassidie (Devon) Amsler, two sisters Brenda (Bobby) Fleming, Jo (Jay) Cooper and a brother Jim Cartwright, also several beloved nieces and nephews.

Gerald was retired from General Electric in Madisonville, KY after 19 years and was formerly a welder and Foreman at various coal mines in Muhlenberg County.

The family has chosen a private viewing and then he will be laid to rest at Union Ridge Cemetery in Belton, KY
