Gary Wayne Thompson, 64 of Bowling Green died May 3, 2020 in Muhlenburg County, KY. Gary was born on September 10, 1955 in Bowling Green to the late Charles Robert and Josephine ""Jo"" Turner Thompson. He is also preceded in death by two sisters: Brenda Grimes and Shelia Price. Gary was known to many as ‘Pops'. Pops was a disabled mechanic and electrician. Pops had a great sense of humor, loved to fish, play dominoes and drink his Dr Pepper. Pops leaves behind his four children, Kimberly Thompson, Jeremy Thompson Sr, Gary Thompson (Ashley) and Randy Joe Thompson; brothers, Charles Randall ‘Randy' Thompson (Nancy), Donnie Thompson (Rhonda), Danny Thompson (Belinda); sister Bonnie Deweese (Rickey); Brother-in-law Roger Price; grandsons Quinton Thompson, Caiden Thompson, Jeremy Thompson Jr, Grayson Thompson, William Thompson; granddaughter Amber Thompson; special life long friend Carlos ‘Punkin' Meredith; special friends Mary Knight and Candace Boren; and a host of cousins, nieces and nephews. Private family services are scheduled. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. The family has entrusted Cone Funeral Home (1510 Campbell Lane) with arrangements.
