Evelyn Cox

Evelyn Mae Cox, 71 of Brownsville died June 13, 2019 at the Medical Center. She was the daughter of the late Arthur ""Bigfoot"" Taylor and Cora Cowles Taylor. Mrs. Cox was retired from Walmart and was a member of Halls Chapel Baptist Church. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Ricky Graham and Charles Graham. She is survived by her husband of 39 years, Tom Cox of Brownsville; her daughters: Leucinda (Stephen) Cox, Crystal (Shawn) Gilbert, Cindy (Jason) Basham, Chloe Basham and Michelle (Kevin) Taylor. Other survivors include 9 grandchildren: Danny Thomas Meador, Joshua Meador, Chris Taylor, Dustin Hudson, Caleb Basham, Jesse Thomas Wright, Liam Gilbert, Preston Humphrey and Kamden Cox; her brother: James Taylor and her sisters: Sheila Hampton and Carla (Geoff) Lentz. Funeral services for Evelyn Mae Cox will be Tuesday, June 18, 2019 at Cone Funeral Home (1510 Campbell Lane) at 2 pm with burial in Pine Grove United Baptist Cemetery. Visitation will be on Monday, June 17, 2019 from 12 pm - 8 pm and on Tuesday from 10 am until time of service. The family has entrusted Cone Funeral Home with arrangements.
