Edwin Dawdy

Mr. Edwin Dawdy, age 68, of Franklin, KY, passed away Wednesday, October 5, 2022, at Hopkins Center in Woodburn, KY. The family will be holding a Celebration of Life service on Saturday, October 15, 2022, at 12 noon at Heartland Christian Center in Vine Grove, KY. Edwin was born June 5, 1954, in St. Louis, IL to the late Ralph Dawdy and the late Letha Medler Dawdy. He is also preceded in death by his children, Brittney Dawdy and Bobby Hubert, and a sister Wanda Rogers. He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Sandy Dawdy; 2 brothers, Melvin Dawdy of SC, Wayne Fisher of IL; 3 sisters-in-law, Donna Queen of SC, Sarah Voneeckhoute of KY, Peggy Patterson of GA; 2 brothers-in-law, Marvin George of SC, Charles George of MI; numerous nieces, nephews, family, and friends also survive. Edwin was of Baptist faith and baptized at age 35. He was a butcher for 40 years and was a member of the Meat Cutters Union. He was a butcher and owner for 4 different restaurants and retired from Publix in 2019. He loved shooting pool, working in the yard, fishing, the outdoors and his dogs Barren and Baby Girl.
