Edith Walthall

Edith Irene Meeks Walthall, 84 died July 20, 2018 at Signature Health Care in Bowling Green, Ky. She was born in Butler Co. , Ky on March 21, 1934 and was the daughter of the late George Meeks and Stella Brown Meeks. Mrs. Walthall was preceded in death by her husband, Darrell Walthall. She was a member of Madison Avenue Baptist Church and had a life long career of helping others as a nurse's assistant at the Medical Center and at Hopkins Nursing Home in Woodburn. Mrs. Walthall is survived by her children: George Washer, Gleda (Larry ) Temples, Jeanie Adams, Jim (Mandy) Adams and Clair (Ray) Hunt; her grandchildren, Tony (Valerie) Adams, Derek Adams, Justin (Krisin) Adams, Angel Ortiz, John (Mandi) Washer, Aimee (Pat) Patton, Tori Temples and Julia Adams. Other survivors include her sisters: MayBell (Joe) Mansfield and Betty Rasdall as well as several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Mrs. Edith Walthall will be held Tuesday, July 24, 2018 at 2 pm in the chapel of Cone Funeral Home (1510 Campbell Lane) with burial in Martinsville Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held Monday, July 23, 2018 from 4 pm until 8 pm at the funeral home and again on Tuesday from 10 am until time of service. Cone Funeral has been entrusted with arrangements.
