Donita Martin (Rhodes), 50, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Wednesday, March 27, 2019 at the University of Louisville. Donita was born in St. Louis, MO to Samuel and the late Barbara Jones. She is survived by her children, Adriannia, Adriann, Andre, and Andrew; sister's, Denise Curry, Dominica Jones, and Darlease Hayden (Adrian); grandchildren, Miracle, Journey, Carson, and Harmony; a host of nieces and nephews, and Ronnie Rhodes. As a result of her generous spirit and pleasant personality, she was loved by many. Donita was always the life of the party and had a laugh that was contagious. Being a mom and grandmother were her first priorities and greatest joy in life. Her love for being a hairstylist put the biggest smiles on her clients and family members. Donita understood that the quality of existence far exceeds the quantity of time in which one lives, and she lived her life to the fullest. The family will receive friends on Monday, April 1, 2019 from 9 am until noon in the chapel of Cone Funeral Home (1510 Campbell Lane).
