Dena Ann Bowles passed away peacefully on Tuesday July 17th with her loving family by her side. A Bowling Green native, Dena was born on April 14th, 1967 to the late Donna Howell Thomas and Ronald ""Butch"" Knight. She was a 1985 Warren Central High School graduate. She leaves behind friends and co-workers from her time working at Berry Plastics. She recently celebrated 30 years of marriage with her loving husband Jeff Bowles. Her favorite role was being a mother to her three children who all live in Bowling Green, Cory (Allie) Bowles, Kyle (Candace) Bowles and Caitlin Bowles. Her family was her world. Friends and family will remember her most by her strength and courage during her 10-year battle with cancer, through which she continued to put others first. She is also preceded in death by her brother Sean Thomas, her dad Patrick Henry Thomas, her paternal grandparents Eugene and Helen Knight and Opal Thomas, and maternal grandparents Hoy and Evelyn Howell. With her husband and children, she is also survived by two brothers Darrel (Darla) Knight of Franklin, KY, Chris (Jennifer) Thomas of Mission Viejo, CA. One niece, Dru Knight and three nephews Tyler Knight, Zach Thomas, and Aiden Thomas. She also leaves behind many close friends. She attended Broadway United Methodist Church. Visitation will be at Broadway's Melrose Campus on Thursday, July 19th from 12 p. m. to 8 p. m. and Friday, July 20th from 10 a. m. to 2 p. m. The funeral service will be held at 2 p. m. on Friday with the burial service to follow at Fairview Cemetery. Cone Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
