David Yates

David Ross Yates, 68 of Bowling Green died September 9, 2020 at the Hospice House of Southern Ky. The Bowling Green native was the son of the late Sherley and Laverne Yates. Besides his parents, he was also preceded in death by his brother, Gerald Yates. David was a practical joker, always loved to make people laugh and was one of a kind. He had a special place in his heart for children and his dogs. David was proud of his Native American roots and loved nature. He was a hunter and a fisherman who collected knives and arrowheads and enjoyed watching the birds and squirrels. David’s favorite food was a bacon sandwich. Survivors include his sister and her husband: Sharon and Jerry Traylor; his nephews: James Yates, Jimmy Stahl, Jeff Yates, Chad Stahl and Josh Yates. He is also survived by several great nieces, nephews and many great friends. Visitation for David Ross Yates will be Friday, September 11, 2020 from 9 am until 1 pm in the chapel of Cone Funeral Home (1510 Campbell Lane) with the funeral service to begin at 1 pm.
