Mr. David Wayne High, born December 11, 1954, suddenly passed away Wednesday, November 3, 2021, in Bathgate, Scotland. David grew up in Portland, TN. He loved his family and machinery of any kind. He was an avid storyteller and enjoyed traveling with his wife of 27 years, Barbara High. He proudly served in the Army and worked all over the world in various jobs and capacities. David is survived by his wife, Barbara High; his daughters: Leigh Russell (Ian Burns), and Lynsey (Graeme) Pollock and his sons: Barry (Kim) High, Chad (Jordyn) High and Cory High; his 15 grandchildren, Leah, Emma, Kelsey, Taylor, Kyler, Addy, Kade, Brogan, Cam, Joseph, Samuel, Ruby, Jack, Lucy & Ben, and 1 great grandchild, Brentley as well as his father, Jody Thompson and siblings: Jackie (Wendy) Thompson, Bobby Nelson, and Sharon (Bill) Darks. David was preceded in death by his mother, Reba Thompson, birth mother, Ruth High and his brother, Marshall High. A memorial service will be held at Generation Church,60 Hwy 52, Portland TN on Saturday December 4, 2021, at 4 pm in his honor with Robert Gilman officiating. Visitation will begin at 3 pm at the church before the service.
