Darrell Creekmore, affectionately known as "Mugsy," of Bowling Green, Kentucky, peacefully departed from this world on September 18, 2024, at Skyline Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee. He was preceded in death by his father, Leon Creekmore, and sisters, Deborah and Benita Creekmore, as well as his brothers, Robert Leon Creekmore and Clell Yancey. He also mourned the loss of his beloved aunt and uncle, Virginia and Clifford Yancey.
Darrell leaves behind a loving family, He is survived by his brothers, Billy Creekmore and Clayton Yancey, his twin sister, Denise Creekmore, and his sister-in-law, Sheila Yancey. He took great joy in his role as an uncle to his nieces—Trina Carter, Kimberly Yancey, Tonya Charlton (Brock), Ashley Denney (Zach), and Kayla Yancey (Andrew)—as well as his nephews, Chris (Kelly), Dustin, and Tiffany Garrity. He cherished his god-niece, Justice Drees, along with several great-nieces and nephews, and a multitude of dear friends whom he embraced as family. He is also survived by his mother Neney Pryor Creekmore.
Darrell's zest for life shone brightly through his passions. He found immense joy in riding his Harley with his brother and friends, a testament to his adventurous spirit. A regular listener of the Real Trader on WILLIE 94.1, he was fondly known as “Mr. D.” His culinary flair was evident during gatherings, where he delighted in grilling and spending time surrounded by loved ones. He held a deep affection for his dogs, who were an integral part of his life.
The family extends heartfelt gratitude to Glenn Hazel and all those who contributed to make this service possible, showcasing the community's love and support for Darrell.
In celebrating his life, we remember a man whose warmth, laughter, and generous spirit will be profoundly missed but never forgotten.
