Danny McGowan

Danny Wesley McGowan, 65 of Bowling Green died May 16, 2022, at Greenview Regional Hospital. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 19 at 6:30 pm in the chapel of Cone Funeral Home (1510 Campbell Lane). Visitation will be held from 12 pm Thursday until time of service. Graveside service will be held on Friday, May 20, 2022, at 11:00 am in Still Cemetery (3252 Blue Level Rd, Rockfield, KY 42274). The Tullahoma, TN native was born January 19, 1957, to the late Charles Wesley McGowan and Della Francis Smith McGowan. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers and sister: Nelda McGowan, William (Raymond) McGowan and Eddie (Dwight) McGowan. Danny is survived by his wife, Sharon and they had just celebrated their 45th anniversary May 13, 2022. He is also survived by his son, Danny McGowan, Jr (Sarah Little Pace McGowan) of Benton, Ky; his brother, Buck McGowan (Debbie), Panama City, FL and his sister, Mary Moran, Bowling Green, Ky. Other survivors include his brother-in-law, Bryan Bobbett (Kathy) and his sister-in-law, Judy Pearson. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Danny started working when he was 15 years old at a tannery and worked hard his whole life. He loved to fish, camp, “hobby” garden and drive through the countryside. Anyone who knew Danny knew he was a Chevrolet man.
