Connie Jean Phipps

Mrs. Connie Jean Phipps, age 72, of Rockfield, KY, passed away Monday, January 23, 2024, at Hospice of Southern Kentucky in Bowling Green, KY.

The family has entrusted Cone Funeral Home with arrangements.

A Memorial Service is scheduled to be conducted on Friday, January 26, 2024, at 1:00pm. Visitation with the family will begin at 11:00am until the time of service.

Connie was born January 22, 1952, in Frankclay, MO to the late Thoris Denzel White and the late Eula Myrtle Prater White.

She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Roger Phipps; son, Brian Phipps (Laura) of Bowling Green, KY; daughter, Stephanie Phipps of Bowling Green, KY; grandchildren, Katarina Popovic, Aleks Popovic, and Emma Phipps; brother, Gary White (Karen) of Irondale, MO; sisters, Brenda Edgar (Jim) of Irondale, MO and Carole Brown (Jerry) of Poplar Bluff, MO. Several nieces and nephews also survive. 

Connie was a proud member of the local AARP and religiously watched The Young and the Restless. She had a passion for gardening and cooking. She was a fan of the St. Louis Blues Hockey and the St. Louis Cardinals Baseball. Connie worked for Staples for over 24 years before retiring. She loved her work family and enjoyed cooking for them. She grew up with a love for animals and adored them all. Connie loved having a simple life and when she was blessed with grandchildren, they became her whole world. Besides her love for her family and friends, she also admired George Straight and listened to his songs on repeat. Connie’s love for others ran deep and it showed by her acts of service.
