Charles Simmons

Mr. Charles Wayne Simmons, age 69 of Bowling Green, KY, passed away Wednesday, October 25, 2023, at The Medical Center at Bowling Green.

The family has entrusted Cone Funeral Home with arrangements.

A funeral service is scheduled to be conducted Monday, October 30, 2023, at 2:00 PM at Cone Funeral Home with cremation to follow. Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM until the time of service at 2:00 PM.

Charles was born February 18, 1954, in Bowling Green, KY, to the late Cecil Spinks and the late Mattie Simmons. He is also preceded in death by four sisters, Wilma Spinks, Barbara Fulcher, Leona Basham and Gladys Miller, and one brother, James Simmons.

He is survived by his wife, Judy Yancey Simmons; one son, Chad Simmons of Bowling Green, KY; daughter, Danielle Simmons of Greenville, KY; three step-sons, Timothy Romero, Charlie Romero, and Robert Romero; one step-daughter, Carla Pickett; four grandchildren, Josh, Maddie, Bryan and Dakota; siblings, Joy Helson (Joe), Emma Keown, Martha Helson, Ray Simmons, and David Simmons (Patricia) all of Bowling Green, KY. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Charles worked as a mechanic for over forty years and enjoyed building race cars. He was kind and loved helping people.
