Carolyn Hughes

Carolyn Hughes, age 78 of Adairville, KY. Passed away Saturday, August 5, 2023, at NHC in Springfield, TN. She was born August 15, 1944, to the late Earl Stratton and Addie Law Stratton. She was of Christian faith and a member of the Living Word Church. Carolyn loved sewing, cooking, traveling, and being with her family and friends. Carolyn was proceeded in death by her brothers, Delmar Stratton and Boyd Stratton. She is survived by: her husband of 62 years, Joe Hughes; her daughters, Elnorene (Tim) Grant, Cynthia (Steve) Prince, Debbie (Mark) Abbott all of Adairville. Sisters, Ann Shoulders of Adairville, Minnie Holder of Russellville. Grandchildren, Samantha (Glen) Robertson, Shane (Mikole) Grant, Jacob (Ashley) Prince, Joshua (Mariel) Prince, Madison Abbott. Great grand children, Tatum Grise, Emma Robertson, Sawyer Grant, Clayton Prince, Olivia Prince, Declan Prince, Waverly Prince, 12 nieces and 4 nephews. Special family friends, Brent (LeeAnn) Holman, Katherine and Anna, Tracy Holman (Ron) Harrison, Connor and Ben. Carolyn's Celebration of Life will be conducted Sunday August 13, 2023, at the Living Word Church. Visitation 2:00pm to 5:00pm. Service starts at 5:00pm. Service will be officiated by Bro. Phil Scott. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
