Carla Unseld

Carla Lynnelle Unseld was born in Louisville, Kentucky on September 23rd, 1971, to Wathetta Buford and Kenneth Unseld. She attended school in Jefferson County and Warren County. She also attended PJs Cosmetology School. She worked in several different roles until she became a Caregiver for the elderly and individuals with disabilities. She loved taking care of her clients and treated them like family. Carla loved baking and trying new recipes, playing bingo and cards. She was overjoyed with being a grandmother. She loved sharing pictures and talking about her "butterball". 

She was Baptized at Taylor Chapel AME Church where she attended until her caregiving prevented it. She was a member of the Gonzella Johnson Usher Board.

Survivors are children, Kendra, Justice and Jaden Unseld all of Bowling Green, KY; grandson Kannon Jones; parents, Wathetta Buford of Bowling Green, KY and Kenneth (Margaret) Unseld of Louisville, KY; sister Bethany Unseld, brother William Unseld of Bowling Green, KY and Brother Kevin Unseld of Louisville, KY. And a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandmother Beulah  Ellis,  maternal grandfather Hiawatha Buford and maternal grandmother Burdie Owens.

Visitation will be from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM Friday, October 20, 2023, at Cone Funeral Home

Funeral service will be at 1:00 PM Friday, October 20, 2023, at Cone Funeral Home

Cremation to follow
