Brenda Wray

Brenda Wray, a cherished member of her community and beloved family matriarch, passed away on January 18, 2025, in Bowling Green, Kentucky, at the age of 81. Born on August 11, 1943, in Cumberland County, Kentucky, Brenda lived a life marked by devotion and care, particularly in her role as a child care provider, making a lasting impact on many families throughout her career.

Brenda was the proud daughter of Stanley and Bessie Williams, who have preceded her in death. She shared a special bond with her siblings: Marie Scott, Bonnie Daniels, and Bobby Bainbridge, as well as her brothers Eugene and Jimmy Williams, and a grand baby named Baby Dot, all of whom have also passed away.

Brenda leaves behind a loving family that includes her devoted husband, Vernard Wray. She is survived by her three children: Terry Wray (Debi) of Bowling Green, Don Wray (Amy) of Scottsville, and Melissa Borders (Kevin) of Franklin. Her legacy continues through her grandchildren, Bradley Wray (Leslie), Wesley Wray (Kelly), and Eden Borders, as well as her great-grandchildren, Lily, James, Leah, Olivia, and Ruby Wray. Additionally, Brenda's family extends to several nieces and nephews who will remember her warmly.

Brenda's visitation services will be held at Cone Funeral Home, located at 1510 Campbell Lane, Bowling Green, KY, on Tuesday, January 21, 2025, from 3:30 PM to 7:00 PM, and Wednesday, January 22, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service will follow on Wednesday, January 22, 2025, at 11:00 AM, also at Cone Funeral Home. She will be laid to rest at Christian Chapel Church of Christ, 2108 Sulpher Creek Rd, Burkesville, KY, at 1:30 PM on the same day.

Brenda Wray will be remembered for her unwavering dedication to those she cared for and the love she shared with her family and friends. Her kindness and nurturing spirit touched many lives, leaving a legacy of compassion and strength that will not be forgotten.
