Betsy Lou Copass Propes, age 67, of Gamaliel, Kentucky passed away Sunday, October 25 2020, at Signature Healthcare of Glasgow. A private viewing for immediate family will be conducted Thursday, October 29, 2020 at Cone Funeral Home. A celebration of life will be held December 11-12 at the River Breeze Cabin in Tompkinsville, Kentucky. Betsy was a member of Gamaliel Baptist Church and former Activities Director at The Palace in Red Boiling Springs, Tennessee. Betsy was preceded in death by her parents Edith Brandon and Glen Dale Brandon. She is survived by daughters: Margaret Jenkins and husband Brent Jenkins, Marie Brewer and husband Paul Brewer, Marcie Davis and husband Adam Davis, Mara Copass; her grandchildren: Brandy and Brandon Blankenship, Kayla King, Dillon and Dalton Spivey, Braxton Davis, Jordan Jenkins and 1 great-grandchild : Clover Spriggs. Other survivors include her siblings: Ricky (Lois) Brandon, Eddie Brandon, Debbie Emmert and half-sibiling LaDonna Hardegree. Betsy is also survived by her cat, Jack. Betsy was a lover of all animals, especially cats. She enjoyed spending time on the water and cooking meals for others. She loved all types of music and enjoyed dancing. Her daughters describe her as a great story-teller who was very creative, adventurous and not afraid of anything. Those wishing to honor her memory may make contributions to the Barren River Animal Welfare Association of Glasgow, Kentucky.
