Bessie Wheet

Mrs. Bessie Jewell Wheet, age 82, of Bowling Green, KY, passed away Wednesday, September 27, 2023, at Cal Turner Rehab and Specialty Care in Scottsville, KY. Bessie's wishes were to be cremated.

A memorial service will be 1:00pm Friday September 29, 2023 at Landmark Baptist Church in Smiths Grove, KY.

Bessie was born June 5, 1941, in Glasgow, KY, to the late Buble Earl Bray and the late Lucy Allice Bunch. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Lawton Wheet. She is survived by her sons, James “Ricky” Wheet (Gayle) of Bowling Green, KY, Anthony D. Wheet of Bowling Green, KY, and Bobby Wheet of San Bernardino, CA; five grandchildren; two brothers, Mitchell Bray of Bowling Green, KY, Randall Bray (Linda) of Glasgow, KY; one sister, Ruby Pedigo of Glasgow, KY. Bessie liked to watch The Evangel Christian Church Life Center and follow the prayer line. She enjoyed cooking and she had a big heart for dogs and cats.
