Bessie Dugard

Bessie ""Hurt"" Dugard Age 88 of Bowling Green passed away Friday September 16, 2016 at the Signature Health Care Center in Bowling Green, KY. Bessie was born May 13, 1928 in Lucas Kentucky a daughter of Lacy Whitney Hurt and Lizzie Helen Huddleston. On May 18, 1946 she married Elzie Lee Dugard in Glasgow, Kentucky. He preceded her in death on July 16, 2003. Besides being a housewife and child caregiver, Bessie had worked at Norman's and Colony Shoppe. Bessie is survived by her daughter: Pamela (Charlie) Page of Bowling Green, two sons: Steven (Mark) Dugard of North Carolina, Kevin (Angela) Dugard of Bowling Green, three granddaughters: Marcia (Darrin) Johnson of Bowling Green, Michelle (Allen) Grasmick of Texas, Megan (Caleb) Burden of North Carolina, and a grandson: Jay (Heather) Wysong of Tennessee. She is also survived by four great grandchildren: Ashlynn Anderson, Kenadey Johnson, Matthew Autry and Katie Ayers, two great great grandsons: Joshua and Henry Ayers, a brother: Thomas Hurt, a sister: Hallie Spencer along with several nieces and nephews. The funeral service to celebrate Bessie's life will be held Monday September 19, 2016 at 11:00 AM at the Cone Funeral Home Chapel (1510 Campbell Lane Bowling Green). Rev. Chris Patterson will be the officiant. Burial will be in the Bowling Green Gardens. The visitation for Bessie will be at the Cone Funeral Home Sunday September 18, 2016 from 4:00 PM until 8:00PM and also on Monday September 19, 2016 from 9:00 am until the time of service at 11:00 AM.
